Dirt bike rider, 15, remains hospitalized after crash in N.J. township

A 15-year-old remained hospitalized about three weeks after the dirt bike they were riding struck a pickup truck on a county road, according to police.
The teenager was riding on Milford Warren Glen Road in Holland Township when the dirt bike, which did not have headlamps, struck the truck, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday. The teen was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where they were still hospitalized in serious condition as of Thursday.
The teen’s dirt bike hit the passenger side of the truck, driven by a 51-year-old Milford man, police said. The rider was not licensed. The dirt bike was not equipped with lights or reflectors, nor was it intended for use on a roadway. No charges have been filed as of Thursday.
